Dr Peter Gregory

Dr Peter Gregory is a GP partner at Chase Meadow Health Centre where he leads a team of GP trainers in developing our future General Practitioners and First Contact Physiotherapists. Peter came back to general practice after a 10 year diversion into Sports & Exercise Medicine. During this time he was the first Chief Medical Officer of England & Wales Cricket Board and Director of Masters Programme for Sports and Exercise Medicine for University of Nottingham.  Peter published numerous papers,  contributed to textbooks and presented at national and international meetings on Sports Medicine whist being awarded a doctorate for his research.  He takes his special interest in musculoskeletal medicine into his work in general practice and provides tuition in joint and soft tissue injection technique utilising ultrasound for precision and anatomical clarity.  Peter has  interests in assessment of quality of  feedback, learning about being a good doctor from TV characters, lifestyle medicine and pain management. 

Outside medicine and education, Peter has progressed from a long and enthusiastic period as amateur cricketer and cricket coach to a keen runner. He tried to learn to play the guitar at school and has never given up trying, in last few years he has been learning Italian with Duo-lingo and is testing out the adage that you are never too old to learn.
