Deanery Professional Support Unit (PSU)
The West Midlands Deanery PSU provides confidential, multidisciplinary support for trainees with health, training progression or workplace concerns. Contact by email or via the Deanery support pages for referral and advice.
West Midlands Deanery Professional Support and Wellbeing
Typical support: casework coordination, return-to-training planning, study/exam support and signposting to local services.
NHS Practitioner Health
NHS Practitioner Health is a national, confidential NHS service for doctors and dentists offering rapid access to mental health and addiction care. Self‑referral is available for eligible practitioners.

Professional Association Wellbeing Services
These organisations offer member support, legal advice, counselling and wellbeing resources; check membership entitlements.
Confidentiality and Access
Most services operate confidentially. Exceptions occur only where there is a risk to patient or practitioner safety. If in immediate crisis, contact local emergency services or NHS 111.
If you are unsure which route to use, contact your Educational Supervisor, TPD or the Deanery PSU for confidential triage.
