Bilal Hassam grew up in inner city Birmingham and studied at Leeds Medical School. He joined the Birmingham and Solihull North VTS and now works as a GP in Sutton Coldfield, where he is a GP trainer. He has an interest in teaching and training, having previously worked as a Clinical Tutor for the University of Birmingham, and currently continues in his roles as a PLAB examiner for the GMC and a Clinical Educator for a Training Hub. He is a father to 3 young children.
