Welcome to Coventry and Warwickshire
We lie at the eclectic heart of England, home to medieval castles and ancient legends, historic market towns and
popular shopping quarters. Site of the legend of Lady Godiva, the inspiring ruins of Coventry Cathedral and the birthplace of Shakespeare himself. Just an hour from London and
with great transport links to surrounding areas, Coventry and Warwickshi
re is rich in culture and heritage, with all the modern day attractions and comforts you could ask for.
Why not enjoy living and training in a diverse and beautiful area with scope for placement in both rural and urban settings
?
Getting the best training
Our inspiring team of GPs and educationalists will ensure you receive the educational o
pportunities you need to help you reach your full potential. As one of the largest training schemes in the country we have the capacity to provide a highly trainee focused programme. Each training year receives their own programme of education tailored to meet the specific needs of their training stage from our diverse and experienced programme team.
A Community of Doctors
The Coventry and Warwickshire Training scheme is a caring and supportive community of doctors in training. Joining our scheme means becoming part of our community. You will be welcomed by our active Junior Doctors forum and supported by our educationalists right from the start of your training and even earlier if you come for an FY2 taster session. Trainees get involved in all parts of our scheme from helping represent us locally all the way to regional level.
Academic Training
For those interested in an academic career in General Practice we have strong links with Warwick University.
International Medical Graduate:
We also run workshops tailored to international medical graduates who are new to working in the UK. These workshops have been popular among trainees who have enjoyed them as a source of consolidating skills and networking with each other.
